Can the Yamaha PSR-E323 play out of the box?

I was wondering if I need anything special to play this keyboard? I'm just starting to play piano and I'm gonna buy a keyboard, but I wanted to know if I needed anything extra just to play.

It will play right out of the box as long as you have a supply of batteries for power. The stereo speakers are built-in. However, batteries get expensive, so I recommend you buy the optional PA-3C power adapter.

It's not actually necessary, but you'll find that trying to play it on table tops takes up space, so there is a stand made just for the keyboard. And a cheap computer desk chair fits right along with it nicely. As you get to playing more, you may want to add the optional sustain pedal like they use on real pianos for more 'depth' and effect. And as you get good and want to record your own music, you might also want a midi interface cable to connect to your computer's USB port to make your own midi sound files.

None of those are required, though, for immediate use, except I think you'll find the power adapter to be a very useful battery saver.
