Is the Sony Vaio Y Series laptop a good one?
Is the sony vaio y series a good laptop? I'm getting it for school, but thats not all I'll use it for..you know? I just like a pretty basic laptop you know? I'm not a gamer or a business person, I'm just a student. So would that be a good laptop for me? I would get it in pink(;

Asus and Toshiba were declared the most reliable laptop manufacturers by SquareTrade, a company which deals in
warranties. The insurance firm released a set of figures today detailing the failure rate of every major laptop
manufacturer that they cover.
- T3 Future Tech: our laptop of the future
- Top 10 Laptops
- Group Test: Windows 7 laptops review
Nearly one in three laptops covered by SquareTrade needed replacing within three years of purchase. Of those, two
thirds were caused by manufacturer faults and one third were down accidental damage.
The industry giant, HP, which sold nearly 16 million laptops in the past year, was the worst performer, with one
in four of their laptops needing repairs within three years according to SquareTrade.
Surprisingly, Sony and Apple, brands that market their goods based on their build quality, occupied the middle
ground as the third and fourth most reliable laptop manufacturers.
