Would labeling my piano's keys and hanging a diagram by it help, or...?
If I used a scrap of paper with the name of a key (A B C, etc) and taped it to the correct keys of my piano using clear tape, then hung a picture of all the notes labeled on a staff next to the piano, would that help me learn, or would I just have to rely on them too much & never actaully learn which goes where?
I know how to locate the correct keys on the keyboard, and I can read ((BASIC)) sheet music, but it takes me a very long time, because I have to do the whole EGBDF/FACE thing.
So, what do you think? How did you learn to read sheet music without taking forever? Any other tips you can give a beginer?
Thanks <3
do whatever works, but as long as you continue playing consistently, you will get better. a LOT better. Eventually, the note names will come naturally, you just have to keep practicing. The way you read sheet music without taking forever? practice. Basically everything takes time, good luck
