I acquired a piano...what now?
Someone gave my sister a piano, instead of moving it again, she has given it to me. What now? I have worked at a musical instrument store for 8 years, but we don't carry acoustic pianos. I know it is not a full size piano (it doesn't have as many keys as full size keyboards). I cleaned it with some furniture polish wipes. Is it worth trying to learn the piano on one that doesn't have all of the keys? It also only has 2 pedals instead of the 3 that I have seen on other acoustic pianos.
It's always beneficial to learn an instrument, and I think it's okay to learn the fundamentals of the keys. Although it doesn't have all the keys, it doesn't matter because you still have enough keys to learn how to play the piano well. Because the keys are all pretty much the same just different octaves. I hope this works out for you.
