Is this a good keyboard?

this is available from a church site for about 92 dollars, and i want it but decided to ask total strangers who may or may-not have any musical talent instead---This keyboard has four octaves of full-size keys and can simulate piano and organ sounds. It is suitable for learning keyboard skills. A carrying case and music stand are included. The keyboard operates on six AA batteries (not included) or with a 110- or 220-volt AC/DC adapter (the 110-volt adapter is included; the 220-volt adapter is available separately and requires the 110-volt adapter to be plugged in). The keyboard is approximately 35″ x 13″ x 4″.

It's not good for learning piano. If it only has four octaves, that means it only has 48 keys. A full-size keyboard has 88. You would not be able to play most songs past a beginner level. It's good just for messing around and practicing scales. If you are on a tight budget, though, that sounds like a pretty good deal. I got my full-sized (88 keys) Yamaha keyboard with power adapter, wooden stand, bench, and sustain pedal for $600 from Sam's Club. I'm sure they have slightly smaller, cheaper keyboards for a lot less there or at wal-mart. I recommend a larger keyboard either way, if you plan to use it to learn piano.
We use keyboards of that size in theory class, and they aren't fun working with, but our school has to provide for a lot of students, and they aren't as bad as a keyboard with small keys.
