I see Casio has more voices and tone and lot cheaper. Where as Yamaha is more expensixe with less voices? Please advice which is better. First time keyboard buy. Please explain in details.
I actually own both a Casio keyboard from 10 years ago, and a Yamaha piano. Both work great. I don't think that the amount of voices really matter, because you don't end up using half of them anyway. If you are just looking for a beginner's keyboard, just for the fun of it, I would get the Casio. If you want a better quality keyboard, but more expensive, I would suggest the Yamaha keyboard. Either way, both are good choices. If possible, I would go to the store and try both of them out to see which one sounds better (I'm assuming the Yamaha). Good luck!
