Is my new guitar a ripoff/bad deal?
Hello,
Today I bought a new Floyd Rose guitar from a music shop in a small town. I compared it to other guitars they had and thought it sounded good, but I have only been playing acoustic for a few weeks, so I am no great judge of sound. It was only $300 with a small amp thrown in. The other guitars were cheap (~$160).
When I got home, I saw the engraving said "Licensed Under Floyd Rdse Pats." So I am pretty sure this is a knockoff, but can anyone tell me if I at least got a good deal for it?
Well, everyone told me what I guess I knew. Samburnsred, thanks for the positive outlook, but I am pretty mad. I am thinking of going back and trying to return it, and if they won't let me, protesting the store for the next week. The guys did basically lie to me when I mentioned the cheap price, saying that others were just selling it at retail price. I know the idea of protesting sounds crazy, but is this the right thing to do?
