What kind of education do u need to be able to work in the MUSIC INDUSTRY without being a signed musician?
MUSIC. Entertainment. making it, writing about it, reading about it, the inner works of it. behind the scenes, the artists. that is what I am interested in.
There are plenty of people in the music business who never finished college but they tend to be from an older generation. There are music business programs out there you can pursue but what is really important is that you find your way into an internship or volunteer to intern for a big local band or even manage a local band. Experience and meeting people will get you much further than an education in entertainment. That said - if you like to write - study journalism and apply it to music. If you like playing with numbers - study accounting and apply it to music and so on...
