How can I convince my parents to give me more freedom?

I'm nearly 15 yrs old- and I would like a little more freedom. I'm not talking letting me do whatever I please or anything, but my parents won't let me watch shows such as Saturday Night Live, Glee, anything on MTV, etc. I am also not allowed to see any movie that is rated PG-13 or R. I try regularly to convince my parents to let me watch shows and movies such as these- considering I already understand the humor, and heard every curse word in the book. I also am not allowed to get a second pair of piercings in my ear, go to bed when I want, listen to"explicit" music, hang out with guys, wear makeup, etc. How can I convince my parents to give me at least a little more freedom?
I'm not asking for them to give me all this at once- and I realize the piercing maybe a bit much... but i think alot of the things are pretty reasonable.

maybe you should try to talk to them about it. im 15 too, and my parents used to be all bossy with me too, but afterwards i showed them that i can be independent, and if they dont set a bed time for me, its not like im gunna stay up all nite, right?
