Why does my baby cry every time I put her to bed?
My 8 month old daughter cries and screams for along time before she finally falls asleep consistantly every single night. I know she is tired....but it doesnt seem to matter. We have a really good bedtime routine, I bathe her, nurse her, rock her.....give her a soother and put her down drowsy but awake in her crib with her blanket and turn on her musical toy. As soon as shes down, she starts crying and then it goes to SCREAMING when she sees me leave the room. I know its mostly seperation anxiety, but what should I do about it?
I have 3 kids and all 3 of them cried before they went to sleep. Some kids just do it. If she seems to be really laboured in her crying you can soothe her without picking her up. (rub her back/belly, talk to her, sing etc) if she's just cranky, let her cry. All 3 of my babies had to cry it out. Nothing I did (even soothing them) would work. They all always cried for 5 mins then out like a light. Maybe your babe is like mine were. If so, they all grew out of it
