Would a Casio Privia be a good keyboard to purchase?
I'm a pianist/singer/songewriter/musician. I need a keyboard with 88 full-size weighted keys (and a sustain pedal)l that has a good tone. I need this keyboard so I can play gigs and possibly do some recording with it, because right now I have no recordings of my songs. I need tracks so I can upload them to my myspace and promote myself. What would also be a good pedal to purchase and a good gigbag/carrying case to purchase.
I'm not getting the bench because it is just more money and I could just use a stool or something.
I'm about to buy a keyboard too so I've been doing some research about this. Anyway, I was really interested in the Casio Privia too but when i went to play on it in my local store, it really is quite plain. I would rather prefer something with a bit more effects and features especially considering the money ill be spending, that little bit more cash for more stuff is way better. I decided to go with a synthesizer more than a stage piano especially since ill be doing gigs too. I recommend a korg or a nord, although the good ones are pretty expensive, so a Yamaha is quite a good, not-so-expensive synth. Also check out thomann.de for some good keys. I have no idea bout the pedal and bag but a good one will probably be given for free when purchasing the keyboard. Oh and you could have just narrowed it down to pianist
Hope that helped.
