music help! i there any computer program that can do this?
i need a computer program that can conect with my casio keyboard/ synthinizer so that u can add vocals and and such to create songs? is there anything like this and also how mych would it approx. cost in canadain $ thanks
honestly there are a lot of programs that can do what you ask. Some are very cheap, while others cost lots of money and time. Cool Edit pro seems to be a good relatively low budget program if you're using a PC, while macs have a program called garage band. both can do what you ask, as long as you have a soundboard with a preamp or input jack for a mic. Its a matter of using wiring (usually for a hobby songwriter, a USB mic, and a1/8" to1/8" jack cable to connect your keyboard to the input jack will be sufficient). you'll also need some sort of monitoring system like speakers and headphones. Depending on how serious you are, i can always direct you to websites that sell this kind of stuff. In september there will be a new program by a company called propellerheads. Its called Record. Its basic for beginners, but it can go really deep into processing sound and mixing-depending how much you know about recording and the program is how deep you'll go. I dont know what the prices would be in Canada, but if you go to www.sweetwater.com or a similar site, you'll find out. I hope this helps
