Is there any action one can take against a Music Director if he is found to have copied parts of a song?
This is specifically related to the Indian Film & Music Industry commonly known as 'Bollywood' where I have found a number of Hindi songs to be directly copied from their English versions produced in the USA. For example, the song 'Jhoom' seems to have the exact same tune as 'Love of my life' by Santana!! Is there any governing body that overlooks these things and can take appropriate action?
Well no its not my work thats being plagiarized but I dont like seeing this happen and wanted to know if this sort of thing could be reported to any organization that would take relevant action.
now if you are a reformer and want to change things file a case. go contact the person whose work is being plagiarized and persuade him to take some action.. when the music director concerned is not worried why are you stressing yourself.
